Community
Haven's purpose as a 501(c)3 is to support individuals, families and communities impacted by substance use disorder, mental health needs and/or homelessness. Whether we can reach our community and those in need through housing, outreach, treatment, recovery support, or other services - we want to be there in moments of need. Through Haven Recovery Gives Back, we can support those in recovery through continuing to provide housing and services while offering outreach, groups, education and more for families and communities. We strive to:
- Secure funding to ensure housing and treatment can be available to all in need regardless of financial status;
- Provide free Narcan distribution and community trainings;
- Provide free wound care services and trainings to our community;
- Offer community and school based education surrounding substance use disorder;
- Ensure individuals have resources for long term success and stability (housing information, utility assistance, etc.);
- Hold events and activities for communities, developing a stronger sense of connection and decreasing stigma.
